Madman shatters windscreens in Yaounde

By Sally Ncha Amoh in Yaounde
A supposed madman last Friday March 15, 2013 broke the windscreens of four cars parked in a lot around the National Gendarmerie headquarters in Yaoundé. The incident took place in the early morning hours.
According to witnesses, the supposed madman, judged so by his appearance, appeared at the scene and hit the windscreens and glass windows, before anyone could confront him to stop the destruction. Leaving glass pieces spread across the floor, he comfortably sat himself on a nearby block staring at the faces of curious on-lookers.
In his apparent state of mental disability, passers-by could only but languish the plight of the owners of the vehicles, who were absent at the time of the incident, as they wouldn’t know whether to sue a man who apparently knew not what he had done, to pay for the damages.
