About 90,620 people have been
registered biometrically in Bui division. This was revealed to our reporter in
Kumbo on the 12th of March 2013 by the head of the Elections
Cameroon for Bui division, Siver Lukong Abdurahman. The expected target for
voters’ registration for Bui division is 120,655. This to Siver Lukong Abdurahman gives a
percentage of 75.11% registered voters for Bui division.
According to voters’ registration
statistics, Oku subdivision emerges first in registration with 20.868
registered voters out of 22.397 targeted voters showing a 93.25% registration
while the Kumbo central which comes second in the number of voters registered
has registered 25.767 voters out of a target of 31.467 voters.
The percentage of voters’ registration
statistics for Kumbo stands at 81.89%. Mbiame subdivision comes third in the
numbers of registered voters out of target of 9.362, 7.450 voters have
registered in Mbiame giving a percentage of registered voters at 79.58%. The Nkum
subdivision comes 4th in the number of registered voters in Bui
division with 12.843 registered voters out of a target of 17.135 registered
with a percentage of 74.95%.
Nkor
comes comes 5th in the number of voters registered. 8.560 voters out
of a target of 11.886 have registered with a percentage of 72.02% while Jakiri
comes 6th in Bui division with the number of registered voters
