Mother, church elders bury baby alive in Douala!

From Ashu Tidings in Douala

Some seven members of a pentecostal church in Douala have been arrested for burying a new born baby alive. The seven suspects, amongst them the mother of the murdered baby, are members of the same prayer group.
The woman told judicial authorities that her decision to bury her new born baby alive was because she was impregnated  by a spiritual husband. In addition, she says it is forbidden by the teachings of her church to have pre-marital sex, reasons why she had to bury the baby alive as instructed by her church authorities.
Against this backdrop, the Pentecostal church prophet and his disciples decided to bury the child alive as a way of wading off the evil.
After the child was buried late last August, one of the church faithful blew the cover and reported to elements of the 17th police district in Douala who immediately opened investigations. Authorities went down to the burial site in a forest in PK23 to ascertain the incident.
The suspects are currently behind bars while investigations continue.
